One of the UK's largest publisher of educational text books, CGP Books, have opened their new office extension following a +£million development. APM Design were appointed part way through the project as the Client required space planning, design and procurement support for a number of elements including; feature staircase, ground floor reception area and ground floor staff kitchen and dining area.
APM worked closely with the Client to agree a design solution which echoed the ethos of the CGP brand, supporting a number of local products, suppliers and materials in the process. Once the design was agreed, APM carried out a competitive single stage tender on behalf of the Client to procure a suitably skilled Fit Out Contractor who would be made a nominated sub-contractor to be appointed on behalf of the Main Contractor, Thomas Armstrong. Following a full tender analysis and post tender interview, Interfit were appointed. APM remained on hand throughout the project to oversee the delivery of the design, coordinate design with other specialists including structural and services engineers and assisted the Client in selecting final finishes and pieces of furniture and kitchen appliances.
